Instructions for Oral Presenters

The lecture theatres are equipped with the following audio-visual equipment:

  • Data Projector and Screen
  • Lapel or hand-held radio microphones
  • Presenter’s laptop
  • Remote clicker
  • Laser Pointer

Preparing your presentation

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary copyright / permissions for all material included within their presentation.
  • We recommend that you use a minimum font size of 16pt and that you choose colours that contrast and compliment.
  • The screen resolution will be 16:9.
  • Authors are required to bring their presentation on a USB memory stick and pre-load onto the presenter’s laptop in the Lecture Theatre prior to the start of the session - it will not be possible to plug in your own laptop as we are transmitting the talks via Zoom.
  • To optimise compatibility, particularly for the inclusion of multimedia components, speakers should bring any original files used within the presentation so that they can be re-embedded if necessary.
