MS-6: RGA

Organiser: The RGA User Group, UK (Chair- Robin Hathaway, SS Scientific, Organiser - Joe Herbert, STFC Daresbury Laboratory)

About this Mini-Symposia:

The RGA User Group is a charity organisation that has been organising RGA User Meetings since 1996. The aim is to bring together both manufacturers and users of RGA Instruments to discuss advances in techniques and applications for RGA. The meetings also provide an opportunity to exchange information and experiences in the use of RGA. Since 2010 these meetings have been included in the programme of the Vacuum Symposium UK.

We are excited to host our next meeting in conjunction with EVC17 and ECOSS37 at Harrogate in 2024. We are busy reaching out to our regular audience to arrange an excellent series of talks including some from key design authorities in the RGA field. Already we have a good number of speakers.

Scientific Topic:
QMS, RGA, TOF, Instrument Calibration, System Architecture and Novel Applications.

Research Scope:

Mass spectrometry of Residual Gas or Process Gas in various types of vacuum systems including particle accelerator systems, research instruments and industrial processes. Also of interest is the use of these instruments as a tool in industry and production systems such as for quality control.

Expected Audience Type:

Vacuum system designers and operators. Researchers using these instruments to support their research. Users of RGA in any application including industrial processes. Anyone else interested in this topic including all those attending EVC17/ECOSS37.
