The nearest airport to Harrogate is Leeds Bradford (LBA); however, there are a range of UK airports which connect you to Harrogate in just a few hours. All UK airports have excellent links to Harrogate via rail or road. 

Leeds Bradford Airport

The closest airport to Harrogate Convention Centre is Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) located just 12 miles away (20 minutes). There are regular flights from locations across the UK and many connections worldwide, including Paris (1 hour 30 minutes), Amsterdam (1 hour 10 minutes), and Dublin (1 hour).

To get from LBA to Harrogate, take the Airport Direct 747 bus which runs hourly and will drop you off at Harrogate’s main bus station, from there it’s a five minute walk to the Convention Centre. Alternatively a taxi will take about 20 minutes and around £25.If you are travelling from a destination without direct flights to LBA, consider a connection from Schiphol, Amsterdam.

Manchester Airport

Manchester International Airport (MAN), the third busiest airport in UK, provides excellent connections to 160 destinations around the world. It is located 7 miles south-west of Manchester city centre.

Travelling from Manchester Airport to Harrogate by train takes approximately 2.5 hours and costs from £46 or approximately 1 hour 40 mins by car. 

Liverpool Airport

Liverpool International Airport (LPL) provides a number of flights connecting to many European cities.

Traveling from Liverpool Airport to Harrogate takes 3.5-4 hours by train or approximately 1 hour 40 mins by car.

London Airports

London has six major airports which are all well connected by public transport. Heathrow Airport is the UK's largest and busiest airport as well as being the busiest airport in Europe and the seventh busiest in the world based on passenger traffic. Others are London City, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton, London Stansted and London Southend.

You may consider visiting the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh on you way to the conference. It takes an average of 4 hours to travel from Edinburgh (Waverley) to Harrogate by train. There are normally 42 trains per day travelling from Edinburgh (Waverley) to Harrogate and tickets for this journey start from £28.30 when you book in advance.
