Joining Instructions: Flash Presentations

What is a flash presentation and who is eligible?

  • Some societies have included flash presentations - these sessions give the presenter the opportunity to briefly highlight their research in a relaxed and engaging setting. Think of it as a quick showcase, not a formal talk.
  • If the society you are allocated to is offering flash presentations, you will be notified by email. You can also check the society’s agenda or contact vivien.thomas@iop.org for confirmation.
    • BBS/DGfB will announce shortly who is eligible for a flash talk.
    • ISMB has invited selected individuals to present a flash talk, with the opportunity to also be considered for an e-poster presentation upon request. If you have been invited to give a flash talk and would like to be considered for an e-poster, please email vivien.thomas@iop.org
    • The Physiological Society has offered all poster presenters the opportunity to deliver a short flash talk, with the aim of encouraging attendees to visit the posters for further discussion. If you are presenting a poster in this session and would prefer not to give a flash talk, please email vivien.thomas@iop.org
