PubhD

PubhD (http://pubhd.org/) is a relaxed public engagement platform where researchers explain their work at regular “pub level” talks. Speakers introduce their work for 10 minutes before engaging in Q&A and discussion. PubhD events are aimed at a pub audience of the public and professionals from disciplines other than the speakers’ own. PubhD started in Nottingham in January 2014 and has since spread around the world! Here at Photon 2022 we see PubhD return to the University of Nottingham for this special one-off event.

Speakers:

  • Daniel Cocking: “Deuterium Metabolic Imaging (DMI): How sugar can help metabolic disease”
  • Monty Clark: “Superoscillations; a big fuss making little waves”
  • Abi Spicer: “Weight loss Surgery and Type 2 Diabetes reversal; how can MRI help us understand the link?”
