María Dolores Ynsa is currently associate professor Autonomous University of Madrid (Department of Applied Physics) and scientific researcher at Centro de Micro-Analisis de Materiales (CMAM). Her research is primarily focused on the utilization of focused high-energy ion beams to image the structure and elemental distribution of materials, as well as to modify their properties. Her work spans across multiple disciplines including material science, archaeometry, and biological studies. Particularly notable among her recent projects is the investigation into the study and modification of diamond using highly focused MeV heavy ions such as boron and carbon.
