Dr. John V. Kennedy is a materials scientist whose work focuses on developing new materials for low-carbon energy technologies. He utilizes ion beam technologies pioneered by Lord Rutherford to create functional materials and gain crucial insights into the structure-property relationship of materials. With over 250 published journal papers (with an h-index of 63), he has showcased ion implantation techniques applied to polymers, semiconductors, superconductors, nanostructures, and catalysis. John holds the position of Adjunct Professor at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He serves as the program director for the "Aotearoa: Green Hydrogen Technology Platform," which aims to advance clean technologies for hydrogen production and foster technological capabilities for hydrogen in New Zealand
