Dr Yogesh Vohra is a Professor in the Department of Physics, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the United States. His research interests are in the behavior of metals and alloys under extreme conditions of pressures and temperatures, chemical vapor deposited diamond growth and applications, and high-entropy materials under extremes. Dr. Vohra is currently directing a multi-institutional NNSA SSAA Center of Excellence entitled “Center for Additively Manufactured Complex Systems under Extremes (CAMCSE).”
Dr. Vohra also serves as an Associate Dean for Research and Innovation in the UAB College of Arts and Sciences, Campus Director for the NASA-Alabama Space Grant Consortium, and UAB Member Councilor for the Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU). Dr. Vohra also directs the National Science Foundation-Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program on UAB campus. Dr. Vohra is a Chartered Physicist and Fellow of the Institute of Physics, United Kingdom.
