Joining Instructions for Attendees


The following information has been compiled to ensure you make the most out of your time in Edinburgh and at the 28th AIRAPT and 60th EHPRG conference. Location

The conference be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) from Sunday 23 July to Friday 28 July.

Travel

The EICC is benefits from excellent rail and road networks, which means travelling to the conference couldn't be easier. For more information, click on the links below:

Arriving at the EICC

On arrival at the EICC, please use the Lennox Street Entrance (there are two entrances both on Morrison Street). You will know when you have reached the correct entrance as the AIRAPT and EHPRG logos will be visible on the doors. 

Registration Times

The registration desk will be located in the Atrium Entrance and open during the following hours:

All participants should register on arrival and collect their welcome pack and conference badge. All participants are required to wear their badge at all times while on-site at the EICC. If you lose your badge a replacement can be issued; however, the cost will be £2.00 per badge, which will need to be paid in cash.

Catering

Refreshments and lunch will be served at set times during the programme. Please refer to the online schedule.

All requirements that have been requested during the registration process have been noted and passed to the catering teams at the EICC and Museum. Please speak to the catering staff each day if you have any questions. 

Social Programme

  • Sunday 23 July -  A welcome reception will be held in Lennox Suite 1 and 2 on Sunday 23 July from 6pm - 8pm, and will consist of drinks and canapes (all canapes provided will be either Vegetarian or Vegan).

  • Monday 24 July - A cocktail reception will be held in Lennox Suite 1 and 2 on Monday 24 July from 6.30pm - 8.30pm, and will consist of gin and whisky cocktails (non-alcoholic options will be available). A light buffet will be provided.

  • Wednesday 26 July - The Conference Dinner will be held at the National Museum of Scotland, which is located approximately a 20 minute walk away (moderate speed). If you require any assistance getting to the Museum, please speak to a member of the conferences team, located at the registration desk.

    The conference dinner will start with a reception at 7pm and we ask ask all participants to arrive between 7pm-7.30pm. after this time, you will not be permitted entrance. After the meal, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a Ceilidh, which is a traditional Scottish dance. Ceilidh's can be quite energetic so we encourage comfortable shoes. The  bar will be open to purchase drinks during the following scheduled opening times (using a debit or credit card).

Exhibition

An exhibition will be held from Sunday 23 July to Wednesday 26 July in the Lennox Suite 1 and 2. For further information on the list of exhibitors, visit the website at 28th AIRAPT and 60th EHPRG (eventsair.com). We encourage all attendees to visit the exhibitors to find out about their products and services, and how these could help in your research/work.

A cloakroom will be available throughout the conference at the following times:
