Dr Laura Robin Benedetti is a staff physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. She completed the PhD in physics at the University of California at Berkeley under the joint supervision of Drs. Raymond Jeanloz (Geophysics) and Lars Bildsten (Astrophysics).

Her research interests include materials physics at high pressures and temperatures, planetary science and solar system formation, inertially confined fusion, and saving the world. She is especially interested in the epistemology of scientific measurements, and she makes pretty graphs.
