Joining Instructions for Attendees


The following information has been compiled to ensure you make the most out of your time at the Silicon Quantum Information Processing Workshop 2026 event. If you have any concerns or questions in the meantime please contact Tima at fatima.kanu@iop.org.

The conference will take place in West Hub at University of Cambridge. SQIP2026 will utilise Room A and Room B please see the map below:

Access times: 
Access to the West Hub can be granted from 9am on Monday morning and will close at 19:00.

Accessible travel
Please see the image below for various travel options to the West Hub. 

Sustainable Travel

As a sustainable building, West Hub does not have designated parking available.

If you need to drive, please use the free Park & Ride facility located off Madingley Road:
Madingley Road Park & Ride
Lansdowne Road, Cambridge CB3 0EU

The Park & Ride is approximately a 15-minute walk from West Hub. 
Alternatively, you can take the U Bus. Timetable information is available here.

Guests are also encouraged to travel sustainably by:

  • Cycling
  • Taking a taxi
  • Using the U Bus service, which stops directly outside West Hub at JJ Thomson Avenue (Cavendish Laboratory stop)

Accessible parking 

We have one guest with accessibility requirements attending the event.

Accessible parking spaces are available along JJ Thomson Avenue. Guests can access West Hub via the main sliding-door entrance opposite the Ray Dolby Centre.

In addition, parking access can be arranged for:

  • Guests in late-stage pregnancy
  • Post-operative guests
  • Guests who are unable to find an available Blue Badge space on JJ Thomson Avenue
  • Suppliers and exhibitors transporting equipment to support events at West Hub

Catering
All meals are included in the registration costs.

Coffee break & Lunch
Refreshments and lunch will be provided and served in Room A, alongside the poster displays and exhibitor area.

Drinks reception 
A drinks reception will take place in Room A from 18:00 to 19:00.
