Dr Anders is a Professor at the departments of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Exeter and at the University of Potsdam. She obtained her PhD from the National University of Singapore, and performed post-doctoral work on the computational power of correlations linked to measurement based quantum computation at University College London. Dr Anders moved to the University of Exeter as a Lecturer in 2013, where she founded and has since led the Quantum Non-Equilibrium group. Anders is a well-known advocate for the field of quantum thermodynamics, with research interests including the concept of work in quantum mechanics, classical and quantum dissipative spin dynamics, strong coupling thermodynamics, quantum thermometry theory for experiments, classical Brownian motion and stochastic thermodynamics for biophysics applications.
