Poster Presenters Information Pack


We are delighted that you will be presenting a poster at the IOP Nuclear Physics Conference. The following guidance has been prepared to help you design, print, and display your poster, and to ensure a smooth experience during the poster session.


Poster Format & Dimensions

  • Poster size: A0 portrait 
  • Orientation: Portrait 
  • Material: Paper or lightweight fabric posters are acceptable
  • Font sizes (recommended):
    • Title: 70–120 pt
    • Section headings: 36–48 pt
    • Body text: 24–32 pt
    • Caption text: 18–24 pt

Poster Design Guidelines

  • Keep your layout clean and easy to follow
  • Use high‑contrast colour schemes for accessibility
  • Include:
    • Poster title
    • Author(s) and affiliation(s)
    • Introduction or context
    • Key results (figures, charts, tables)
    • Conclusions
    • Acknowledgements and references (if needed)
  • Ensure all images, graphs, and data are correctly attributed
  • Avoid overcrowding—aim for clarity and readability from 1–2 metres away

Poster Setup & Display

  • Location: [to be confirmed]
  • Display boards: A0 portrait boards with Velcro 
  • Fixings: Velcro will be available on site
  • Setup time: to be confirmed
  • Removal time: to be confirmed

Please note: Uncollected posters may be disposed of after the event.


Poster Session Information

  • Please stand by your poster during the allocated poster session to discuss your work with delegates
  • Engage with participants—briefly introduce your research and be prepared to answer questions
  • Posters should remain on display for the duration specified in the programme
