Prof Dr. Ulrich Theodor Schwarz

Dr Stefan Schulz studied Physics at the University of Bremen, Germany, where he obtained his PhD. He is a principal investigator in the Research Ireland funded Irish Photonic Integration Centre at the Tyndall National Institute and a Lecturer at the School of Physics, University College Cork.

Stefan has developed a research expertise in the field of theory of semiconductor physics and material science. His research is focused on multiscale simulations, with the aim to start from first principles investigations of fundamental processes and to carry the obtained understanding through to investigations that help to guide the design of optoelectronic devices.
