Kevin Weatherill is Professor of Physics in the Quantum Light and Matter group at Durham University. For over 20 years he has conducted experiments to study the interactions between atoms and light, particularly in Rydberg-atom systems. Recently, he has developed methods for sensing and imaging radiofrequency and terahertz fields using Rydberg atoms, and he works on a variety of funded projects with academic and industrial partners to develop these new techniques. He is a Co-lead on the UK Quantum Technology Hub for Sensing, Imaging and Timing (QuSIT).
