Talk title: Unconventional π-electron magnetism in graphene nanoribbons

Michele Pizzochero is an Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Bath. His research focuses on the electronic structure of crystals, with a particular interest in low-dimensional carbon nanostructures explored through first-principles methods and model Hamiltonians. Prior to his appointment at Bath, Michele was a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University (United States), supported by a fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from EPFL (Switzerland) and holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Milan (Italy).
