Talk title: Harnessing Complex Interfacial Flow Dynamics for Structuring Soft Materials

Prof Halim Kusumaatmaja is the Jason Reese Chair of Multiscale Fluid Mechanics at the University of Edinburgh. He obtained his PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics from the University of Oxford, and he carried his postdoctoral training at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces and at the University of Cambridge. He was previously a faculty member at Durham University rising through the ranks from Assistant to Full Professor. Prof Kusumaatmaja’s group is interested in a wide range of phenomena in soft matter, fluid mechanics and biophysics.
