Professor Angela Wittmann

Angela Wittmann is a Junior Professor in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Her research focuses on electron spin dynamics in unconventional material systems, particularly at the interfaces between molecules and magnetic thin films. Angela obtained her Ph.D. in 2019 from the University of Cambridge, working on organic semiconductors under Prof. Sirringhaus. She then conducted research on antiferromagnetic films at MIT with Prof. Beach's group before starting her research group in Mainz in 2021. Her current work explores spin phenomena and emergent properties at the molecular-magnetic interface, with potential applications in spintronics, quantum computing, and advanced materials.
