Shigeki Takeuchi

Shigeki Takeuchi has been a Professor at the Department of Electronic

Science and Engineering at Kyoto University since 2014. He received his

M.S. and Ph.D. from Kyoto University in 1993 and 2000. He became a

researcher at Mitsubishi Electric Co. in 1993 and a Lecturer, Associate

Professor, and Professor at RIES, Hokkaido University in 1999, 2000, and

2007, respectively. He has received several awards, including Daiwa

Adrian Prize (2010) for UK-Japan collaboration. His interest lies in

understanding and controlling photons for quantum technologies.
