Hugh Barrett

Hugh is a first-year PhD student on the Quantum Engineering Centre for Doctoral Training program at the University of Bristol. In 2023 he completed an MSci in Physics with Industrial Experience, also at the University of Bristol, which involved a year’s placement at the Central Laser Facility, RAL, STFC. Hugh’s research is focussed on integrated photonics, particularly heralded single-photon sources for quantum computing and quantum communication applications.
