Abstract Submission

Abstract submission for Oral presentations has now closed. Abstract submission for poster presentations will remain open until 1 June 2022.

Oral and poster contributions within any themes related to the multidimensional electron microscopy are invited. Research that combines 3D real space morphology with chemical, temporal, and spectral information are particularly welcome. Contributions may address topics across the physical and materials sciences, such as:

  • Multidimensional data fusion techniques
  • Operando electron microscopy and spectroscopy techniques
  • Electron spectroscopy
  • In-situ electron microscopy and technique development
  • Machine learning and artificial intelligence approaches to data analysis
  • 4D-STEM techniques
  • Multidimensional techniques applied to soft matter and biological materials
  • Dynamic and in-situ electron/ion microscopy
  • Electron diffraction
  • SEM, (S)TEM and focused ion beam techniques

Abstracts of a maximum of 600 words should be submitted online by 23:59 BST on 22 April 2022. Figures and references are permitted.

We do not expect that many delegates will have had much opportunity to take fresh data in the past few months and so will gratefully receive abstracts relating to both preliminary and recently-published datasets, with the intention of enhancing the conference discussion. The focus of the meeting is very much a community discussion of the current advances in research.

You can find instructions on how to submit your abstract in the submission portal. If you have any questions, or need help submitting your abstract, please email conferences@iop.org
