Professor Kumudu Perera

Professor Kumudu Perera from the Department of Electronics at Wayamba University of Sri Lanka is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Solid State Physics and Materials Science, with a specialized focus on Polymer Electrolytes and Energy Storage Devices. She completed her PhD in Materials Science and Electrochemistry at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark. Her research interests include the development and characterization of polymer electrolytes for energy storage devices like supercapacitors and rechargeable cells, with an emphasis on utilizing natural and commercial polymers. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, UK and Sri Lanka and a Full Member of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD).
