The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), we are one of Europe’s largest science and technology organisations. Our mission is to discover the secrets of the Universe, to develop advanced technologies, and to innovate to solve real-world challenges.

Our major research and innovation campuses at Harwell, Daresbury and other research facilities across the UK and overseas along with our funding of the UK research community support fundamental research in astronomy, physics (including particle physics and nuclear physics), computational science and space science.

Our vision is for the UK to continue its global scientific leadership through international collaboration.
