The Spring Meeting is the annual member event organised by IOP Ireland. The 2023 theme is ‘All Things Great and Small’. This event is for all members of the physics community. The event features the Rosse Medal competition, invited talks, networking opportunities and an evening dinner.

Postgraduate students - celebrate your research by entering the Rosse Medal science communication competition. This involves a poster presentation in the morning, followed by the top 5 entrants presenting talks in the afternoon with the winner announced at the evening dinner. The winner of the Rosse Medal will progress to represent Ireland at the 3 Minute Wonder final in London in 2024.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s keynote speaker will be CERN’s Director General Fabiola Gianotti, who will join us virtually. After lunch, invited speakers Dr Sinéad Griffin, Dr Jennifer Gaughran and Dr Johannes Noeller will take us on a journey across the scales of the universe.
