Guidance for Poster Presenters


The poster programme is now available online. There are two sessions as follows:-

Preparing your poster

  • Authors must ensure that they have the necessary copyright / permissions for all material
  • Posters should be prepared no larger than A0 in size (84.1 x 118.9 cm / 33.1 x 46.8 inches), in a portrait format.

Displaying your poster 

  • Posters in poster session 1 can be displayed from 13:00 on Monday 27 March and can remain on display until 16:45 on Tuesday 28 March. 
  • Posters in poster session 2 can be displayed from 17:30 on Tuesday 28 March and can remain on display until 16:00 on Wednesday 29 March.

Poster Printing Service

We are pleased to be able to offer presenters with a poster printing service, which includes delivery to the conference. Posters are printed in full colour and will be available to collect from the registration desk on the first day of the conference. All posters are produced using recycled paper and are delivered to the conference using sustainable packaging. We only use printers who have a carbon neutral certification. The cost is £40 per poster. 

Please read the following before supplying your poster. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to make any amendments once your order has been accepted.

  • Please make sure your document has been proofed before supplying the files – this means you have checked the document for spelling and grammatical errors, colour issues, layout, and design.
  • Artwork should be supplied as a high resolution (300 dpi) PDF’s and must be A0 in size. To create a print ready image in 300dpi in Photoshop select the following: - File > new then in the resolution box type ‘300’. Note, ensure your canvas’ colour mode is set to CMYK.
  • All fonts should be embedded (select embed fonts in distiller options) or converted to curves.
  • Colour palette – supply as a CMYK PDF, not RGB. It is important to ensure that all images used are also converted to CMYK.

Poster files need to be supplied to ashia.anderson@iop.org by 17 March 2023. After this date it may still be possible to print your poster however there will be a 50% surcharge.
