Mauro Mobilia


PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) in 2002, for a thesis on non-equilibrium statistical physics. 2002-2005: Postdoc at Boston University and Virginia Tech (Swiss National Science Foundation Fellowship). 2005-2007: Humboldt Research Fellow at the University of Munich (LMU). 2007-2009: Advanced Research Fellow at the University of Warwick (Swiss NSF Fellowship). Since 2009, at the Leeds School of Mathematics. Currently: Full Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Leeds, and Principal Investigator of the EPSRC-NSF-funded project Eco-Evolutionary Dynamics of Fluctuating Populations. Research interests: multidisciplinary applications of non-equilibrium statistical physics to problems of evolutionary dynamics, and to complex systems in the life and behavioural sciences.
