Katelyn Spillane

Katelyn is an experimental biophysicist. Her lab studies how mechanical forces influence the spatial organisation and signalling activity of molecules in the B cell immune synapse. The research methods combine techniques in optical microscopy, cell biology, and DNA nanotechnology. The overarching goal is to develop a quantitative and mechanistic understanding of how synaptic forces regulate B cell responses, with the hope of shaping B cell activation decisions.
