The Physical Acoustic Group’s annual tutorial day will be held on 26th September 2025 at theInstitute of Physics, focusing on the theme “Tomography and inversion in physical acoustics” We arehonoured to have three speakers representing diverse application fields for the event - Dr Gaye Bayrakci (marine geology), Prof. Ben Cox (medical imaging) and Dr Peter Huthwaite (engineering). The day is structured to introduce the topic to a non-specialist audience through comprehensive talks describing state-of-the-art methods and applications, alongside a poster session showcasing current research.
