IBSim-4i is a 5-day programme consisting of a 2-day training course followed by a 2-day users' forum and 1 day collaborative workshop.

Day 1 and 2: Training course

  • Day 1: Segmentation, Registration and Visualisation (MeVisLab
    • MeVisLab is a powerful modular framework for image processing research and development. It includes advanced software modules for segmentation, registration and visualisation. It also supports module programming and scripting. 

  • Day 2: Digital Volume Correlation (DVC) using iDVC 
    • DVC is a technique used in material science to quantify the internal displacements and calculate strain fields from in situ tomography experiments. 

Day 3 and 4: User and Developer Forum. With keynote speakers, the focus will be on the multi-disciplinary aspects of image-based modelling and their applications in industry.

Day 5: Collaborative workshop
  • An entire day dedicated to exploring opportunities for collaboration. This may be to build teams for writing funding proposals, solving particular challenges, round-robin testing, seeking expertise to complement an existing research team, or other activities of a similar nature.
