Join us in November 2022 at IAPS4MATERIALS to explore the place of materials science in today’s world!  Materials impact every aspect of our day to day life and are an essential factor ensuring the success of any design or technology. Materials are used in a plethora of applications ranging from re-imagining solar cells to detecting dark matter particles.  Undergraduates and postgraduates, tour with us through the multifaceted world of materials science!

Discover materials that are sustainability focused - highlights of our increasingly “green-focused” scientific community.  Delve into advanced materials on the cutting edge, with a wide variety of future applications. Be inspired by professionals from an array of materials science disciplines through a mix of lectures, workshops, a lab visit and more.

This year is also the UN International Year of Glass- celebrating the contribution glass has made and continues to make to our society, and the UNESCO International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development- recognising how our quest for knowledge and understanding drives sustainable development. So anticipate seeing elements of these being featured in our event.

We are looking forward to meeting you from 26^th to 29^th November 2022 in London at the IOP headquarters!

Please note that the event will be conducted in English therefore a good level of English proficiency is required. If you are unsure if your level is suitable, please contact us.

Participation is offered at a local hostel, and the price is inclusive of lunch and dinner during the event.
