Talk title: Thermoelectric subcooling technology to enhance vapor compression systems
Patricia Aranguren is an Associate Professor at the Public University of Navarre (Pamplona, Spain). She obtained her PhD in Engineering in 2015, where she studied the potential of harvesting waste heat using thermoelectric generators. She subsequently joined the Public University of Navarre as a lecturer in the Thermal Machines and Engines area, and since 2022 she has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Women, Science and Technology Chair at the Public University of Navarre. She has conducted several research stays at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology (Dresden, Germany), Aalborg University (Aalborg, Denmark), Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, Poland), and Universitat Jaume I (Castellón, Spain). Her research focuses on heat transfer optimization in thermoelectric applications, such as the hybridization of vapor compression systems with thermoelectric technologies, waste heat harvesting using thermoelectric generators, and the development of fully thermoelectric heat pump technologies. She is the author of two thermoelectric patents, 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, one book, and over 100 contributions to international conferences.
