The European Thermoelectric Society (ETS) Fellowships offer participation support for European graduate students (exceptionally, non-permanent postdocs) from less privileged backgrounds. The support covers the early-bird registration fee only.
The following documents are required to support your application: a full CV (including age and affiliation), a tutor's certification of funded projects, proof of travel/lodging fund commitment and a motivation letter. Applications must be emailed to European.Thermoelectric.Soc@gmail.com no later than 15 June 2026.
The ETS board ranks applications of graduate students based on (a) previous applicant’s publications, (b) applicant’s age, (c) applicant’s country GDP, (d) ongoing funded projects (self-certified by the applicant’s tutor), (e) distance from the conference city. In the event of a draw, women will be given preference. Subordinately, postdoctoral applications will be considered, using the same criteria for their ranking. The funding will be awarded to applicants who successfully submit an abstract which is accepted for an oral or poster presentation at the ECT only. The ETS board decision cannot be appealed and applicants are informed about the funding decision by e-mail. The funding cannot be awarded more than once to the same person.
