Talk title: Crystal and defect chemistry in thermoelectric sulfides
Emmanuel Guilmeau is a Research Director at CNRS and works at the CRISMAT Laboratory (Caen, France). He obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry in 2003 from the University of Caen (France). He subsequently carried out postdoctoral research at AIST (Ikeda, Japan) in 2004 and at LCIS (Liège, Belgium) in 2005. He is a board member of the Solid State Chemistry Division of the French Chemical Society (SCF) and serves as President of the Scientific Board of the French Thermoelectric Society (GIS-TE). His research focuses on the synthesis, chemistry, and physics of materials, as well as on the compositional design of thermoelectric materials using a wide range of processing and characterization techniques. He is the author of more than 210 peer-reviewed journal articles, five book chapters, and two patents, and has delivered over 70 invited lectures at national and international conferences.
