Talk title: Anomalous Lorenz number in heavily-doped semiconductors

Christophe Candolfi is an Associate Professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy and works at the Institut Jean Lamour (Nancy, France). He obtained his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics in 2008 from the Université de Lorraine (France). He subsequently carried out postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden (Germany) from 2009 to 2011. He is director of the French Thermoelectric Society (GIS-TE) since 2022 and is currently a board member of the European Thermoelectric Society (ETS). His research interests include the optimization of the TE properties of chalcogenide semiconductors using band structure engineering tools, the study of the physical mechanisms responsible for the very low lattice thermal conductivity observed in complex materials and the integration of optimized materials into TE devices.
