Dr. Kuo Li is a staff scientist from Center for High Pressure Science and Technology Advanced Research (HPSTAR). He got his Ph. D degree in 2011 in Peking University and worked in Geophysical Lab, Carnegie Institution of Washington from 2011 to 2014. His interest is to investigated the mechanism of chemical reactions under high pressure, and synthesize extended carbon structures like diamond nanothread and graphene nanobelt with precisely defined structure from molecular crystal reactants. He is also interested in investigating crystal structures under high pressure using in situ neutron diffractions and developing high-pressure neutron diffraction techniques.
