Jing Song

Jing Song is an associate professor at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOP, CAS), China. He focuses on tuning the quantum states of correlated electron systems under extreme conditions, utilizing techniques such as electrical transport, magnetic susceptibility, and spectroscopy. He earned his PhD degree in Physics from Washington University in St. Louis in 2018, where his research involved studying the highly correlated electron effects of lanthanide metals (including Nd, Yb, Pr, Dy, etc.) under extreme pressures. Following that, he pursued his research on metallic hydrogen at Harvard University as a postdoctoral fellow from 2018 to 2021. Subsequently, he joined IOP, CAS as an associate professor.
