EMAG at CMQM 2026

In 2026, the Electron Microscopy and Analysis Group are proud to join CMQM to bring you this one-day UK & Ireland electron microscopy satellite meeting, “Focus on Quantum Materials”, to foster discussions between the special interest groups and highlight the synergy between our disciplines.

On 1st July, EMAG will run a parallel session to the main CMQM programme, with both EMAG and CMQM attendees welcome at EMAG and CMQM sessions. PhD students and early career researchers who register for the EMAG session are also welcome to join the free CMQM student-focussed workshop and networking session on June 30th. You will be able to register for a one-day pass for 1st July only at a reduced rate, or for the whole of CMQM plus the EMAG session on 1st July. Please see the registration page to proceed.

• Demie Kepaptsoglou (University of York): "Magnon Spectroscopy in an electron microscope"
• Thomas Walther (University of Sheffield): "Imaging and spectroscopy of semiconductor quantum wells and dots at near-atomic resolution in scanning transmission electron microscopy"
