Travel

The Lodge on Loch Lomond Hotel is situated on the banks of Loch Lomond about 30 miles north of Glasgow. We encourage train travel to and from the conference as a sustainable method of travel.  

If flying/taking the train into Glasgow you can either travel directly to the Lodge by taxi, or take a train to Balloch and then travel by taxi. The cost of taking a taxi from Glasgow airport/train station is approximately £60 each way, or from Balloch approximately £20 each way. 

The local taxi service is John Beattie Loch Lomond Taxis, 07834 782250, pre-booking is essential and they offer 4 or 6 seater vehicles. You are welcome to source your own taxi service, but please note that there aren't many in the area so encourage you to book in advance. If you would like to share a taxi and the associated cost with other attendees, please contact  vivien.thomas@iop.org  who will help to coordinate lift-sharing.
