Registration

This event is open to everyone from all backgrounds whether you are a practicing physicist or if you have an interest in the subject and would like to know more. We invite you to register online by 19 December 2023.

Important registration update: we have received higher interest in this year's conference than usual and are oversubscribed. The bedrooms at the conference hotel and the hotel nearby have been booked. The day rate is now applicable and attendees should arrange their own accommodation and travel to and from the conference each day.

The registration fee includes the following. Please note: drinks (not stated) and extras are charged in addition and must be paid upon ordering.

Access to the sessions
Accommodation for the nights of Wednesday and Thursday and breakfast on Thursday and Friday (for those already booked)
Lunch and refreshments (tea/coffee/water) during the conference on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Dinner on Wednesday and Thursday (including 1/2 bottle of wine with Thursday's dinner).

If you wish to stay an extra night at the Lodge at Loch Lomond (conference hotel) before or after the conference the cost is £165pp/per night (B/B) and the payment must be in full and it's non-refundable; to make a booking please contact the hotel directly by email events@loch-lomond.co.uk

The annual fee for IOP Membership is £121. The concessionary fee is £36 depending on earnings.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible. All cancellations must be made in writing. Full details can be found in our terms and conditions. Submission of a registration is regarded as a firm booking (subject to availability) and acceptance of these terms and conditions. Participant's absence at the conference is not the basis for refund of the Conference fee.

Payment of Fees

In order to ensure that it complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCI DSS") and for the protection of its members and others, the Institute of Physics will only accept credit and/or debit card payments online through STRIPE secure payment server.

If you are paying by BACS/Purchase order, an invoice will be attached to your registration confirmation. Our payment terms are strictly 30 days. Information on payment methods can be found via our website. We reserve the right to cancel any unpaid registrations. All payments must be received by 8 January 2024.
