Abstract Submission


Authors interested in submitting an abstract for a contributed presentation, should submit an abstract by 16 August 2023.

As registration for accepted abstract authors is free, please refrain from registering until your abstract is accepted.

Example focus topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Fundamental tribology of brake friction interfaces
  • Wear emissions from friction brakes – how to predict, measure and control them
  • Alternative brake pad formulations
  • Coated and alterative lightweight brake rotors
  • Effects of corrosion
  • Noise and vibration issues, specifically brake squeal
  • Thermal issues such as brake judder

Contributions are invited for:

  • Poster Presentations
  • Oral Presentations (15 min + 5 min questions)
Abstracts should be a maximum of 300 words and submitted online by 16 July 2023 (one image/figure is permitted). Please click on the link below to begin your submission. Note that there is an expectation that by submitting an abstract, the presenting author will go on to register (when registration opens). There is no fee for submitting your abstract(s).

Please complete all sections of the form and agree to the terms and conditions. The corresponding author will receive an email confirming receipt of the submission. Further information can be found in the submission portal.
