This webinar will consist of an institutional talk from the Open University, showcasing their facilities and recent work in the shock waves and extreme conditions topic area, presented by Dr. Zoe Emerland, The flagship instruments within the laboratory include the All-Axis Two-stage Light Gas Gun (AALGG) and “George” the Large Dirty Mars Chamber. The lab includes several other extreme simulation instruments with adaptability to a broad range of testing conditions within industries including Space, Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Food & Drink, Cosmetics, Utilities and more. This webinar aims to present the facilities, recent projects hosted and recent efforts to broaden our reach beyond academic research within the Space industry, to more commercial opportunities.

This event is open to everyone from all backgrounds, whether you are a practicing physicist or if you have an interest in the subject and would like to know more. There is no fee to attend this event, but you must register by completing the registration form before the deadline of EOP 15 September 2025.
