Instructions for Oral Presenters

Please make sure you have consulted the programme and are aware of the date and time of your talk. You should also ensure that you keep within your allocated time slot as these will be strictly enforced by the session chairs.

  • Invited Talks – 35 + 5 minutes for questions
  • Contributed Oral – 15 + 5 minutes for questions

The lecture theatres are equipped with the following audio-visual equipment:

  • Data projector
  • Screen
  • PC/Laptop
  • Lectern (fixed) and microphone

Preparing your presentation

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary copyright / permissions for all material included within their presentation.
  • To optimise compatibility, particularly for the inclusion of multimedia components, speakers should send any original files used so that they can be re-embedded if necessary. Please email to vivien.thomas@iop.org
  • Authors are asked to bring their presentation on a memory stick and pre-load onto the laptop in the Lecture Theatre in the break preceding their session. Direct connection of personal laptops (with set up in the break prior to the corresponding session) is the alternative but not the preferred approach.

The chair of your session will introduce your talk and then moderate all questions from the attendees.
