Joining Instructions


The following information has been compiled to ensure you make the most out of your time in Harrogate and at the Physics of Emergent Behaviours conference. If you have any questions, please email claire.garland@iop.org

ARRIVAL INFORMATION

The event will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Majestic Hotel and Spa. On arrival, please go to the reception desk which is located in the foyer outside the Reading Room. Registration will be available as follows:-

Thursday: 12:30 - 18:00
Friday:  09:00 - 17:00

EVENT OVERVIEW

  • Posters and Refreshments:  Drawing Room
  • Lunch: Carters Champagne Bar and Grill
  • Conference Dinner: Billiard Room

CATERING

Catering will be served at set times during the programme as follows:

Thursday:

  • Lunch: 13:00 - 14:10
  • Refreshments: 15:15 - 16:20
  • Conference Dinner: 19:00 - 21:00
Friday
  • Refreshments: 10:30 - 11:10 and 15:20 - 16:00
  • Lunch: 12:50 - 14:20

TAXI'S

The convention centre is walkable from the train station and all hotels located in the centre of Harrogate. The nearest taxi rank is on Montpelier Road.

Taxis are readily available at Leeds / Bradford Airport and Harrogate train station.

FIRST AID
If you require first aid during the conference, please go to the registration desk. All members of the conferences team are trained first aiders.
