Optical technologies have been revolutionary for ophthalmic imaging and instruments such as Optical Coherence Tomography systems have become crucial clinical diagnostic tools. Development of new instrumentation for the eye is paving the way for more precise measures of vision and eye health. These advancements are providing access to new biomarkers of sight-threatening conditions and are gaining traction as means of studying systemic diseases that have secondary effects in the retina. This one-day meeting brings together developers of optical technologies for the eye to discuss UK developments in ophthalmic imaging and its range of applications. The meeting is open to academics, clinicians and industry representatives and we particularly encourage early career researchers to submit abstracts to present their work.
