Registration

This event is open to everyone from all backgrounds whether you are a practicing physicist or if you have an interest in the subject and would like to know more. We invite you to register online by 19 July 2026.

The registration fee includes access to all talks, workshops, refreshments, lunch, and the poster session and drinks reception on Tuesday.

The Conference Dinner on Wednesday is optional and charged separately at £45 per person. This includes a three-course meal with wine. We are delighted that the dinner will be held at one of Cambridge’s historic colleges. Thanks to generous support from the IOP Thin Films and Surfaces Group, the cost has been subsidised to help make this special experience accessible to as many attendees as possible. Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible. All cancellations must be made in writing. Full details can be found in our terms and conditions. Submission of a registration is regarded as a firm booking (subject to availability) and acceptance of these terms and conditions. Participant's absence at the conference is not the basis for refund of the Conference fee.

Payment of Fees
In order to ensure that it complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCI DSS") and for the protection of its members and others, the Institute of Physics will only accept credit and/or debit card payments online through STRIPE secure payment server. If you are paying by BACS/Purchase order, an invoice will be attached to your registration confirmation. Our payment terms are strictly 30 days. Information on payment methods can be found via our website. We reserve the right to cancel any unpaid registrations.
