Getting here (by train). If travelling by train, please note that the University's train station (University) has been expanded and now has an exit which will take you closer to the centre of the campus (please follow the directions at the station). Regular services connect the station to Birmingham New Street and other regional/national destinations.

Getting here (by car). the venue is located in Edgbaston, South of Birmingham. Please be aware of clean air zone charges if travelling through the city centre. The ring road in the map below is the boundary of the region where clean air zone charges apply. There are several carparks available on and around the campus. These can also be found via the above link.

Finding the session room: The Large Lecture Theatre is located on the second floor of the Poynting Building. The building code is R13 on the campus map. A staircase and lift are located beside the entrance, providing access to the front of the theatre. You’ll also find signs to guide you. Further directions and resources can be found here.

On arrival, please come to the small museum room outside the Poynting Large Lecture Theatre.
