Eva Los

Eva completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Manchester, after which she embarked on a PhD at Imperial College London. Eva's research involves probing theories of strong field QED by studying interactions between energetic electron beams produced by laser driven wakefield acceleration and high power lasers. As part of her thesis research, Eva developed a Bayesian analysis framework to quantitatively compare different models of radiation reaction (otherwise known as the self-force on a charge).

Eva has recently taken a position as a research assistant on a joint project between the plasma Physics group at Imperial College London and ELI-ALPS to commission a kHz laser-driven wakefield accelerator, which has a dedicated program for
X-ray and gamma-ray production at a kHz.
