Guidance for Presentations 


Allocated time slots is accessible on the event programme here

We would kindly ask that all presenters visit the Simpkins Lee Seminar Room in the break before their session and introduce themselves to the session chair and to test their presentation.

Oral Presenters: 
The lecture theatres are equipped with the following audio-visual equipment/support: 
  • Screen
  • Clicker 
  • Laser and pointer

Preparing your presentation:

  • As the presenting author, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary copyright/permissions for all material included within your presentation.
  • PDF, PowerPoint and Keynote are accepted.

Uploading your presentation and the on the day management:

  • Speakers should bring their own laptops, which can be connected via USB-C or HDMI. In-person AV support is available during the conference by using the “Help” button in the AV system or by contacting an administrator. 
  • Slides need to be prepared in the 16:9 format to display well on the screens. 
  • The committee will introduce each talk and then moderate all questions from the attendees.
Poster Presenters: 
Poster sessions will be located also in the Beecroft Foyer.

Preparing your poster:

  • Posters should be prepared in A0 (84.1 x 118.9 cm / 33.1 x 46.8 inches), in a portrait format.
  • The available poster boards measurements are 177 cm in height x 88 cm width.
  • Authors must ensure that they have the necessary copyright / permissions for all material

Displaying your poster: 
We'll be utilising free-standing poster boards. 

  • Posters can be displayed at the start of the event registration.
