An Interdisciplinary Exploration

Join us for an exciting and intellectually stimulating scientific event, "C3: Complexity, Computers, and Consciousness," organised by the Institute of Physics and Imperial College London. This cross-disciplinary trialogue will take place on the 9th and 10th of November at the IOP venue in King's Cross, London.​C3 is a unique event that brings together leading researchers from Complexity Science, Neuroscience, Philosophy, and Computer Science to explore the intriguing interplay between consciousness science and artificial intelligence, sparking innovative ideas and fostering multidimensional perspectives.

This event will be held in person and online.

Scientific Programme

The two day scientific workshop will feature talks, panel discussions and networking events for the participants. The talks will be divided into multiple sessions including but not limited to:

  •  Metacognition & Self-Awareness 
  • Agency and Voilition 
  • Integrated Information 
  • Self-organization and Learning 
  • Creativity and Novelty 

We encourage early career researchers (PhD and Postdocs) to submit an abstract (2500 characters max) for a short talk, related to the theme of the workshop. A detailed program of the workshop will be made available soon.

Public Event: Is there an "I" in "AI"?

The workshop is accompanied by a public event on the evening of the 9th of November.​ This is a ticketed events with limited in-person seats along with catering and drinks. However, a live stream of the event will be made available. Tickets or access to the live stream will be made available for public attendees soon.
