The meeting will take place in the main Open university
campus, Walton Hall. General information
on how to get to Walton Hall can be found here: university.open.ac.uk/estates/travel-advice/travel-advice-walton-hall/directions-walton-hall-campus
If you arrive to Milton Keynes by train, the best option is
to get a taxi to campus (the cost is £10-£15). The Loop bus service runs hourly
and takes 50/60 minutes.
It is also possible to cycle using the Redways: university.open.ac.uk/estates/travel-advice/travel-advice-walton-hall/cycling/cycling-milton-keynes.
The University provides open bike racks – you’ll need to use your own bike lock
to secure your bike. Alternatively, there are a number of hire bike options,
both traditional (Santander Cycles www.nextbike.co.uk/milton-keynes/en/)
which can be docked on campus, and electric (Lime and Tier) which need to be
parked outside the campus. For each of these hire options you will need to
download the relevant app to hire.
If you are planning
to drive, the Library parking is closest to where the meeting will take place. If this parking is full, the South West parking usually has plenty
of space.
Registration, talks and poster session will be held in the
Betty Boothroyd Library (indicated by a green arrow in the campus map linked above). Taxis
will normally drop you at the Berrill Reception building (indicated by a purple
arrow in the map below): walking to the library is less than 5 minutes and more
easily done around, rather than through, the Berill building.
